That setup works in a 40 but not in an LV if the fenders haven't been trimmed.
I'm running OME 40 series rear shackles in the front , extended FJ60 shackles in the rear, OME lifted heavy duty springs, 40 series axles, and 33x10.5 on stock 40/55 rims. There is no way a 60 series axle with 33's would work under there without some trimming or body lift.

What he said!

Hmmm, the fenders were trimmed in that pic. Also, I wonder if the axle was moved back an inch or two...

I think it was moved back bc mine is too far forward and needs to be moved back 1" or so to be more centered like that pic. For some reason, LV's are pushed too far forward, IMO, visually and need to be moved back. I am using OME 2" lift as well and that's what I found after bolting everything up. I have not moved it back yet.

I picked up the body, and made a little more headway on the tailgate.

Heck, I love the whole shop! A 45, 55, power wagon and what looks like an M37 bed. They did a good job on the media blasting.

Thanks, I have more projects and hobbies than time. Suffering from, it won't take that long too...

I used 675-5157 Napa kit on the upper hinges, and ordered some McMaster car oil impreg bushings for the other hinges. I will then use a grade 8 bolt for the pin.

I recieved my 2012 lc9 6l80e combo with 23,214 miles on it. Aluminum block with vvt and dod. 315 ish 5.3 liter. I am a little worried about the wiring. I bought it with the ecm and all the wiring intact. Thanks for viewing my post.

I removed the door skin to hammer these dents out. Just couldn't figure out a good way to do it with them on. It was tedious getting it off. Thanks for viewing

I put the door back together and am moving on to my split case.

McMaster carr p/n ff413-03b
3/4x9/16x1/16 oillite bushing with a grade 8 bolt. I ground the head round and cut off the threaded portion, them ground a taper for appearance. Then I put a couple spot welds to hold it in. Work the last bit 7/16 carefully.

I can complete assembly of the case when I recieve an adapter from aa.

Tony, thanks for the encouragement! Scrap daddy, no. There isn't any pto gear in my case. I guess 1983 did't come with one. I think I would have some real clearance issues trying to get the shaft past the v8. I have one I was putting on my fj55, but the shaft won't clear the header on the 2f. I haven't bothered to resolve that problem yet...
Thanks for the comments

I got one to work on my 55 with the vortec motor. You'll have to build your own pillow block brackets and cut the shaft to fit. It wasn't too bad of a job. Something to think about while you have it apart. I bet Georg would have a gear.

I used two ff413-02b on each ear, and then two ff413-03b in the middle portion oillite bushings. Then a 5/16x 4 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt for each hinge. The original pin was larger than 5/16 so I had to bush the ends. What a time consuming project to drill them all. Each is location specific, remember....
