I bought a '50s era frigidair fridge with plans of making a beer fridge. the compressor would not run, so I installed a 3n1 starter relay with capacitor to see if that would give the kick it needed. installed as per instructions, and the compressor works, fridge is cold. yeah! now my problem is there does not seem to be allowances to wire in the thermostat control wire.
I have looked on multiple appliance sites, and found many questions on this topic with no answers. naturally I turn to a Land Cruiser site for answers.
the obvious answer is to get the proper relay for my fridge, but at over 60 years old, I would have to rig up a solid state unit to work.
people are using the system I have, any of you have experience with this? cold beer is at stake here boys!
