I have a 1993 t100 with a 95 4Runner engine in it that i would like to get rebuild. The truck along with a slid in camper and dr650 are in a self storage in Austin.

Is there anyone that you could recommend to rebuild the engine for me. It's working but I would like for it to be more reliable and get some more horsepower if possible. I'll be driving it back to Maine in a few months.

If you want HP then a 3.4 is the way to go. The 3.0 isn’t know for HP mods.

you'll be money ahead because you'll do it once.
3.0 gon blow again and again.
I don't agree with that. There are very simple things that can be done to make the 3.0 last many, many years... It's just not worth the money compared to the alternatives.

for what it cost to repair a 3.0 its a no brainer to go a different direction.
you're correct, there are like six 3.0s that haven't blown up :flipoff2:

Mine hasn't blown up in 20+ years of ownership. Guess I'd better sell before it does! :p Toyota did HG replacement in 2000.
