Thinking about a first trip in my 80 up to Graveyard Field (Fields?) I have been up there hiking a bunch, but I have never been off road. It is kind of sentimental because it was the first place I ever went after hiking a few miles and saw a guy decked out camping in a Cruiser. I would like to know if anyone knows the area and where to start. My truck is nearly stock so I am not looking for anything outrageous. Just a nice night or two up at elevation to camp for a few nights. The area is a geographically interesting place. My wife and I are botonists and there are some plants in particular at the upper elevations that would be interesting to see right now. I would be willing to risk some hairy areas. I have already taken this thing for a good scary run. I would rather stay away from managed service roads.
