Watch carefully if the tire guy uses an impact gun to spin the nuts on. If the nuts don't spin when the torque wrench is applied, the nut is already at or past the recommended torque from the impact gun. I see this all the time. Once the torque wrench is applied, it usually clicks instantly on...
I'd recommend a borescope to look under the intake before spending the time removing it. It should be pretty obvious.
Here is a thread with examples of the rodent issue and repair:

I've owned both. The 200 is a big upgrade (features, power/performance, and luxury) but I still have a fondness for the look and feel of my old 100. The rub with the 200 is that it feels bigger. The visibility and command of the road in the 100 is/was better IMO - it just seemed more rugged and...
OP: It can be done. Just be sure you have good trailer brakes and a good controller.
However, for those considering the merits of regularly towing at or near the rated capacity with a LC, I'd suggest you rent or borrow a heavy duty pickup, pull the same load (preferably in the hills/mountains)...
Regrettably, I am now in this club. I believe it was the former owner's doing. Following my purchase, I was doing the basic stuff like oil and filter change, new engine air filter, etc. I cleaned a ton of debris out of the engine bay where leaves fall down from the windshield. In general it was...
I have a well cared for 2007 (born on date is September 2007) with 106,xxx miles (timing belt done at ~96,xxx by Lexus dlr) that I am just now being forced to sell. It's blizzard pearl with beige interior. Currently in Utah, but moving (US Air Force) to Montgomery, AL. Spent first 9 years of...
1. VAIS SL3B Bluetooth integration.

3. Leatherique
Would add HID conversion, but all the parts are sitting in my garage awaiting install.
How long did it take you from start to finish? The LX still has a year or more but my :princess:'s RX400h needs it and I'm on the fence on hiring it out or doing it myself.
'Clean' fluid is pale pink. The fluid in your res is dirty-ish and I'd bet the stuff that comes out of your accumulator and globes will be black. The fluid in my res was almost clear with a very slight pink tint and the stuff that came out on the corners looked like cola.
I stand corrected. I Just read the manual and there is no mention of the parking brake. I have been operating it incorrectly for the past few months. Thanks for the heads up.
Make sure you meet these conditions before trying to raise or lower with the selector button:
- Truck is in park
- Parking brake is set
- All doors are closed
- Engine running
- Foot off the brake
It will just blink and not raise/lower if the above conditions are not met.
