Update to idle issue -
My main battery / starting battery was going bad. Replaced it and idle issue solved. My guess is that my alternator was working hard to keep up with lack of charge acceptance and load. Coincidence??
I have a dual battery set up with a isolating/combining solinoid...
Getting similar issue. AC compressor relatively new. Plugs, wires, etc. relatively new. Also noted revs not as high as used to be on cold start up. Following this thread. Please post if you find culprit. Thanks!
Good question - mostly playing around off-road relatively close to home with two semi-annual overland trips West Texas, NM, AZ, CO. NOT a daily driver.
Current set up -
OME J-Springs & L-Shocks, Slee bumper / Winch, Dual battery, Cooper 35s, 4X4 Labs rear. Looking at spring and shock options. Considering Slee shocks with medium 4" springs. Also looking at a few other options but Slee option seems pretty cost-efficient relative to other...
I have a 1993 80. Miles on truck are about 340k but engine and trans rebuilt within 20kmiles. All runs great at lower speeds, start-up, around town, etc. Recently transmission randomly shifts / drops to neutral (that's what it feels like anyway) at speeds around 70 - 75. This happens every...
My AC gets nice and cold but when I go to defrost mode with AC on, the temp with get less cold but not hot when I turn the slider bar to hot. Also heater does not get super hot in from vs. heater in the rear.
93' 80
Thoughts?
Thanks
Looks great!! Curious, how are they secured to floor? I built a set quite some time ago for my 100 and secured them to the "D" rings. My 80 does not have tie-down points so trying to figure out best option for securing them.
My 2001 100 has 235k on it. Bought it at 70k. Forget thinking of it as an investment. It's far from it. Do it because you have "disposable" income and just love doing it. My 100 is set up with OME "2.5" wit T-Bars, and UCAs, Metal Tech 4x4 rear links, New bushings all around, White Knuckle...
Ha! That I was aware of. Done that before. I am most likely doing this project during some time off from work and will be solo. If I could train my dogs to help, that would be awesome. ;-)
I guess I'll give it a shot. Appears as thought the 1.9" adapter should work? Plan on replacing master cylinder next week so I'll let you know what pressure I use and adapter that works.
