That is sitting on my workbench in the garage. It covers something on the drivers side seat.....right hand side, all the way down on the bottom. I can barely squeeze my hand down there, and cannot see where it goes.
Does not look important, but will bring back to dealer for my 15k service.
If I put new wheels on, with sensors, do they have to be "coded" at the dealer or a tire installer that has the correct LC TPMS settings? I'm looking at a dedicated winter wheel:tire set up (likely Blizzaks)
Thx
No worries Brian....truly an "unknown". Even the dealer was totally stumped....guess Toyota really kept this on the QT.
SWUtah.....I guess they're "smaller" as they don't fit over the shocks. I have no context for ride impact versus a 2008-2011.
FYI, while Toyota did not announce this change, the front springs are different than the 2008-2011 model years. Unfortunately this came to light during a failed install of Koni 90 shocks....the rears fit fine, the fronts not even close.
So for those looking to modify a 2013+, make sure the...
Thanks everyone. I did read all the threads on this topic, and there is far less discussion around non-lifted 200s. It sounds like Koni is the way to go.
Anthony: who did you use to do your brake and shock install?
Thx
Stock 2013 cruiser riding on Toyo AT2s. I'm fine with the standard ride height, but not the "ride". It's fine on normal roads, but the ride on washboard, rutted, and pot-holed dirt roads (at speed), or broken pavement is poor. Specifically, the wheel-hop, where there is that brief sensation...
Works really well. Coming home last night my drive way was coated with a nasty black ice...bad enough that the LC slid 10 feet backwards (fairly steep incline) with my foot on the brake, and I could not stand on the ice without siding down my driveway. I first tried starting in 2nd gear and...
They dont get that hot, but improvement over my 2008 4-Runner. Other cars we have are much better; 2009 M3 and 2013 Acadia. The steering wheel however gets surprisingly toasty.
I think that's a fair price for a car in NE....maybe a bit high. I looked for a low mileage 13 but settled on a new 13 as the difference was only around $5k.
Depends on the size of the bump, but on the typical roads around SW CT, it happens very infrequently. There is a dirt road I drive on often that has washboard and potholes and at speeds of 20 MPH+, I do get wheel hop on turns or if I hit a large hole. There is a feeling that the tires of...
I recently installed these and have 1300 miles. No snow yet, but the description and tread design look promising. These are the new Open Countrys....

Thanks for all the responses; I went with the Toyo Open Country A/T 2...they are getting installed this AM.
I had the Michelin LTX M&S OEM on my 4-Runner; they lasted 44k and were a good all around tire, but I was looking for something a bit more agressive and hopefully better in snow.
I have heard the BFGs are only fair in snow, so was not on top of my list. Live in CT and spend decent time on New England off road and skiing. I skipped the 100 series as I had an audi allroad in between the 80 and 4-runner.
Archtaan: how are the driving dynamics versus the stock tires...
Traded in my 2008 V8 4-Runner this past Friday for a 2013 Land Cruiser. Black on Black and with some crappy Bridgestone Dueler tires! I'm staying stock size and thinking either the Cooper Zeon LTZ or Toyo Open Country II. Anything else I should consider in 285/60/18? Light off-road...
