I had this problem, mine turned out to be the lift pump ( the one with three nuts and holds the primer)

i had fuel in my oil and was wondering how it was getting in, replaced the fuel feed pump and it fixed my problem.

On mine it is built into the fuel filter assembly on the fire wall , I have seen on an 87 where it was beside the fuel filter, it had a somewhat different set but still in the general area. Hope this helps

How long does it run before it dies? Have you changed the fuel filter? Will it restart right away?

Thanks for the image, it seems like a simple fold that wouldn't be the hardest thing to to repair. If it was the driver rear I would be all over it, how much are you asking for it, I may be interested if it's cheap enough.

I have 1984 pickup and the box is in good shape, surface rust but only one hole one the driver side rear bed skirt. I want to fix it with steel and am wondering how others have fixed theirs. Does anyone have photos of the box without the skirt (lower panel) on during the repair not rusted off...

I have a 1984 2L LN65 Canadian spec and on the fuel filter - primer- water separator, there is a heater of some sort. I think it works with the glow plug timing device but not certain. Not sure if this is the same on your LJ 78 but on the separator it has 3 sets of 2 wires but I have seen...

Here are the photos of the 3b i have with the grease nipple, the insides have been removed. I don't know much about this engine other than its a 3b out of a bj60.

I have seen it as well, I bought a 3b out of a 60, it has the grease nipple and a piece of hose looks like washer fluid line attached by a wire, I will take a picture of it tomorrow.
