I just saw this and since I was on the original thread, I thought I would update as well. I had them a couple years and they never punctured or cracked. I'm in Oklahoma so no "real" snow experience with them. I ended up replacing them after some wear due to a worn steering rack. I went with...
Been a while since my last update, but I've been busy! Had my hood and roof professionally re-painted and chose to tackle the bumper and fill panel myself. Custom matched aerosol topped with spray max 2k clear. wet sanded with 2k grit and polished with my PC orange LC pad and Meguiar's ultimate...
I used a custom mix aerosol of "medium gray metallic" I think it was UCA76. I had it scanned at a paint supply, since the paint code for the trim wasn't listed. Since I was doing it all, it didn't bother me if it was a hair off. If anything its just slightly darker.
Mine actually had three different clips. The white and yellow pictured, and the rear most trim piece used two red clips each, but I re used those as they were not damaged during removal.
That's what I want so bad for mine! There was a guy that imported a middle eastern spec 100 to Canada and wanted alloys, but shipping would have been a pain! For those asking they are very common in other parts of the world if you can get them shipped without issue.
Started the process last night of removing mine to refinish them, It appears that mine had two sizes of tape on most and a third size of thicker tape on the little one behind the passenger door. Doing the drivers side tonight and hopefully it will go faster. That old adhesive is terrible to...
Hit Sundog off road park with some of the local GXOR guys this past Sunday. We weren't looking for mud, but it had rained..So much cleaning took place Sunday evening..But it was a great day!
Finally had time to take care of the clear coat peeling on my door handles. All four looked like the one pictured. I removed them, sanded, primed and painted them with a custom mixed aerosol made by a local body shop supply. Followed it up with 3 coats of matching clear. Sometime later this week...
Lol, it's not a debilitating thing for me but have some real issues, luckily its not to the extent of others, more along the lines of routines, public restrooms, cleanliness and germs. Goes right along with my diagnosed ADD..(both drive my wife crazy) Automotive detailing is pretty good therapy...
I love your attention to detail, I've mentioned to you before having a little OCD problem myself. I would love to know the history of these no nav trucks as I've only seen a few. One was another silver one like yours that appeared to have had body damage repaired and the other was dark gray...
I have a replacement OE brake booster that seems to have a plug on it that's not on my original. My question is, will this still work? It was mentioned on Facebook that it may be for ATRAC equipped trucks? Mine is a 99 if that helps. I wanted to ask the experts before I contact the seller. Please...
