@Buta55
The 55 section is a strange place. Like seriously, a strange place.
Many enter, few leave. There’s a reason it’s listed as the 2nd to last forum only above the stout, which unfortunately has nothing to do with beer.
Those that do leave tend to end up in the 70 series...
I was reading some passing info on Camrys and other parts being compatible, but glad to see that’s correct.
1/2 the cost is great no matter how much @OGBeno shames me 😂 It’s oem right?
My drivers side door handle has been loose and pretty sure 1/2 broken. The passenger side was getting really hard to open and only released at the end of travel.
The passenger side I slightly adjusted the vertical rod and then hit everything with a cleaner and lubricant. Opens like brand new...
Maybe I missed this about the rig, but what’s your goal/purpose for this rig? (Not that you need one)
I see you have the oddball for trips and
Wheeling. Is this your new daily and run around? Planning trips with it or mainly a short run hauler?
I like running the MT all year long. The geolanders I have found to be quiet and smooth for a long time.
I ran one set of 255/85r16s and liked those. I’m currently running 285/75r17s. I got around 35k miles and still had some tread left but they were getting tired.
If I were doing a ton...
I had an almost similar problem. Mine started popping on turns. It had worn out and was 1/2 way cut through. It lasted like 3 years.
Replaced with another 555 but slightly annoyed I had to buy a full set to get the 1 piece.
My understanding has always been older Ujoints have wear patterns. Once you lift it, your joints are now running on different angles and wear spots and can cause vibration.
My first instinct would be to point it back down with shims and see if that goes away. Shims are cheap and easy.
