You are correct, it cannot be seen from the outside. Sometimes you can see a paint mark on the axle showing the location if you’re very lucky. You will most likely have to do the spin and try routine. Good idea to make a paint mark for next time around.

The C-clip on the end of the inner shaft needs to be in the right orientation. Try spinning it slightly and retry over and over at different positions (simpler with a helper). Simplest method for me is a hammer and chisel on the edge of that ring that is to the right of your pry bar. Hope that...

Curious is the Navigation/Stereo is the same on both? I am sure there will be options available soon to open up aftermarket stereos on the LC, but wondering if the same can be said for the LX? Thanks
