Hole-in-the-Rock-Trail interest for May 1

Im off to Cortez the 1st of May to pick up my new CampTeq. Looks like a perfect opportunity to run the HITR trail. This is an epic trail that is very remote with challenges. Candidates will need to have a vehicle in top shape, capable with strong driving skills. Not a place you want to have problems.

Looks cool...I will be on the Kokopelli Trail that day as an 'unoffcial' member of the CM group. What day are you headed up there?

I pick up my top on May 1 in Cortez and would be heading that way the next day would be my guess.

Sounds like a lot of people will be on Kokopelli this year I was invited by a couple of CO guys following the CM "official group" but because I have BTDT I'm looking for something new and not so crowded.

yep, I'm in the unofficial group....I have not done this trail so I am looking forward to it. If you wanted to do HITR on the 29th, I could check out going up early to join you. Is it a one day'r?

From Blanding/Cortez it will take a full day to get to HITR for the night.
