Hi..i have been trying out my colorado diff locks etc..i engaged it on the tar mac main road to see if it would engage which it did,the lock light came on,But problem is it would not disengage..tryed reversing but it was stuck in H/L and would not go into L/L or H..anyway had to drive it a half mile or so on straight tar mac to nearest field where i drove across the grass and it then it allowed me to take it out of H/L and back into H..my 2 questions are would im have damaged any thing in the diff or was the short run harmless enough and is this Normal that if engaged on tar mac the diff will lock/not unlock as never had this problem before with other 4WD`s..and old owner said diff lock was never used so maybe sticky..thanks.

i had the same problem with my center diff lock aswell, but what i did was drive foward a bit then backwards about two or three times then it disengaged. my same thought was that it might be sticky from no useg
