I'm starting this thread as a reference for those interested in re-purposing OEM Toyota Switches for use in 80 Series Land Cruisers. Many Toyota switches from other vehicles of the same vintage have switches that will fit the various openings in 80 series trucks. The rectangular opening seems to be a Toyota standard dating back into the early 1980s.

There are some very rare switches out there that can be re-purposed for other uses to power winches, air compressors, lights, heaters, vibrating seats and other accessories limited only by your imagination that will maintain that factory look with proper illumination, pigtails for wiring etc.

I'd like this thread to be a reference for any Toyota OEM switch that will fit without much modification in 80 series trucks.

Pictures will be appreciated as many will not know of the vast amount of options and configurations out there.

Part numbers and pigtail interchangeability will also be appreciated as will original vehicle source if known.

Some have tried relabeling factory switches but I do not know of any that look good. Feel free to post other items relating to relabeling of OEM switches etc.

I'll start the thread with an interesting switch I just picked up. This was originally in an Lexus LS400 and with my love of Snow, I had to have it. Not sure of part number on this one.

Hazard Switch

Common Toyota Hazard switch.

Great for CDL switch. Im in the process of re-purposing one for aux lights.

Ill take pics once complete. But using pin 7 for power and pin 8 to a relay.

Would appreciate it if someone (snowcruiser) could pls post up the schematic for the 'vibrating seats'. Didn't know I had that option but it seems I missed that one in the owners manual ?

Thanks in advance...:)

Not sure of the year or part number but some Toyota Matrix cars came with an outlet and 115 volt switch that likely powered a hidden inverter. It appears that these would fit 80 series dash openings but not confirmed.

Not sure this will fit as it looks like a newer switch but how cool to have a USB and in line audio port in a OEM dash blank.

Part Number: 86190-0C020

(This is from a Thread on Tacomaworld) that says a USB cable plugs into the back of this dash port.

Rgds...

Very good thread indeed. Anyone else wishing we had many more blank switch areas? I'm slightly nerding out here, and looking forward to some future tinkering!

Great thread! Keep em coming!
