Costa Rica FJ40

I just bought a 78 FJ40 Diesel for use on the Osa peninsula which is
on the Southern pacific coast of Costa Rica.
The rear doors and body panels are rusty, I am looking to replace them with parts from a scrapped FJ40 as long as they are in decent
shape, does anyone know any scrapyards or garages that are selling
used parts in Costa Rica, would also be interested in other parts not
just bodywork.

I don't know about scrap yards, but check this out, Pilgrim Restorations Original Body Parts. Claim to be made in Costa Rica, maybe worth a call to ask if he knows of any.

i was there for 2 weeks of vacation and saw more FJ40's than I have seen anywhere else in the world.... there have to be parts sources locally somewhere.

I just got back from Costa Rica. It's a really nice place and there are Toyotas everywhere. I know there was a Toyota dealer near where we stayed in Guanacaste region. I believe it's in Liberia. Purdy Motors or Purdy Motor company. I think they have another location in San Jose. Might be worth checking out to see if you can get some mechanical stuff from them. I don't know about body parts.
