haha damn that thing is sick.....I haven't been in the fast car world in a while but from what I recall the M3 is like the ultimate machine.....
How are they otherwise? Common problems? High maintenance ?

It's not too bad. It has "the big 3" critical items which are rear subframe mount reinforcement (they tear out of the body), rod bearings (usage and mileage; usually changed out every 100k), and VANOS reinforcement.
Regular maintenance isn't too bad. Engine is sensitive to oil (solid lifters).
Parts going NLA is the main concern right now. It is an old car and some companies are starting to stop making OE parts for them. But the aftermarket support is good.
But it's a really fun car to drive.
