Well, I keep going to the garage and working on something else. Today I decided to look at the shiny buttons and work on the saginaw mount. After talking with Erik, I was urged to mount the spacers through the mount, and after reading online, I decided to do the C channel around the frame.

In the first picture, you see the first bend in the 1/4 plate that Andrew helped me bend on the brake at our welding class. We bent it a little too much, so I first heated it up and bent it back some, closer to 85 degrees angle. Then I welded it to the bottom of the frame. After a little heating and beating, and some clamps, I welded the face (the middle) to the frame, heated up the top bend and bent it down. A little time with the plasma and some grinding and the saginaw was mounting up again. I need to do the outside frame support, finish the welds, and this project is done.....

Now off to the other two dozen shiny buttons in the shop.....
