I have cruiser envy and I want to put a 40 series grille onto my cruiserspawn 4Runner.
I'm wondering what is the length and width measurements( I almost snuck into a guys driveway at nite to measure)

To order an aftermarket one from coolcruisers would be $150 USD. Is there a local wrecker that might have one? I would prefer the '79- 84 rectangular style rather than the earlier rounded one.

I think there was a mini truck in the toyota trails not too long ago that had the pre 79 grill and it looked pretty cool. Good luck,

What year is your 4runner?
Have you seen the satoshi grill mod? IMO, one of the coolest cosmetic mods one can do to a 4runner.

Step by Step instructions here:

That looks nice. A friend of mine did that mod to his 3rd Generation runner but mine is a 1st Gen and I want to go really retro and use the 40 series grille bezel with round headlites and yes a big "TOYOTA" emblem.

I'd work towards number '2', without a doubt. It captures your desire for the 40 bezel, and maintains balance with the 4 lights. Good look...I'd like to see the finished product!

good luck...

Maybe,
It was in an Outside the box article, I think the truck was called sawzall or something like that, but it did look like that truck.

HAM,
my opinion on the Drawings, is
#1-not so good,
#2-better,
#3-best.
How bout try extending the bezel to cover the entire front, wonder how that would look.
