Today while installing my snorkel the garbage men were making their route when the guy asked me what I was doing...when I told him that was his response.

Bear in mind that this is the same guy who suggested I put some 40's on my truck and his Cutlass is jacked up with 28's.

The comment didn't bother me, we joke every time we see each other. Anyone else heard that kind of comment with their rigs?

I'm running 40's and a snorkel. Imagine the comments I get. You will get sick of people asking you what the black thing on your truck is. Some people think it is a parascope some lady thought it was a camera. Go ahead and put a sign on it now it will save you from questions like "what that thing is on your truck".

Yea at least I don't get the "funny looking Jeep" questions. My neighbor asked me if I was working for Google doing street view I said yup.

People used to ask the same thing to me. When I explained that I have had water up to the hood of the truck they then ask why were you in the water.

It's BS if you say for cleaner air or water crossing, no one will believe you.

It's not like a handful of cars were disable less than a year ago in my neighborhood due to heavy rain flooding here.

I just get a kick out of someone who jacked up a Cutlass telling me I do something crazy.

I'll bet you a dollar per vehicle they weren't stranded because they took water into their intake, but rather had exposed electrical issues. My current junk stumbles violently if the ECU harness gets too wet, I can't even pressure wash the engine too much let alone cross a stream. A snorkel would definitely be the cats nuts, but make no mistake "it juss fer dekoration, dat's it and dat's all, we do's it fer dekoration".

I want Heckler's. he wishes he didn't have it because the "fun" has worn off and is tired of everyone asking about it. if you have a matching green fender please let me know cause that's what it'll take to get it from him.

I can get you a fender but it won't be green...I think it's in good shape but if I recall the flare may already be pulled off.
