What ever you do, PLEASE don't use twine to secure your load on the roof rack! I just want to bitch slap those people so bad that it hurts!!!

What's a roof rack????

As Dan mention's " fit " means being able to close the door.

As for putting 4X8 materials in the rear of a chevy without wedging them in sideways - all I can say is " show me ".

Cheby no fit 4' X 8' between wheel wells?

My Cheby does.

I should clarify - suburban or pu......

If thats a question......Suburban........... my final answer.

4' X 8' fit my 03' Suburban between the wheel wells, and gate closes. Fit in my 97 as well.

Fits in PU too. Im corn-fused.....

I had a Suburban for a while a few years ago. It was an '85 3/4 ton 4WD that was actually pretty cool. It had a MANUAL transmission! A black Silverado with all the stuff on it, including dual A/C and a 4 speed manual trans. Pretty damn cool...

I almost kept it. I planned to lift it and put 35's on it but some guy offered me more than I paid for it and I caved in....

Oh, a 4x8 sheet does fit in the back of one of those just fine.

Wish I still had the 97. Sure the 03' has memory seats, DVD player, power folding mirrors, perimeter lighting and every other option no one ever really needs but the motor is a 5.3l instead of a 5.7l and I prefer the older body style.
Also preferred that it was paid for. :crybaby:

Learn something new everyday. I did't think the 'burb would take a sheet of plywood all the way....

Or you cab throw it on the roof:

Doug Johnson barely fits in an 80 and from what I've heard you have to use a little lube to actually make him fit.

:flipoff2:

A little lube? Let me fill you in...with me...it's not a little anything. Better pull that gallon jug of KY out from under your bed...
