Rust: 98% rust free. Two spots about a quarter size, but are superficial. One on the driver side near the door, that other is the passenger side near door. The floor and pans are solid. The rear corners are solid. I've never seen a totally "rust free" Cruiser, better to be up front than hide something.

Just needs a different speedo cable since I got the bigger wheels and tires

Thanks Jake!!

Those are not bad especially the 68, they are bit far and hoping to buy something local in case the rig isn't what I want. I have looked at 15 trucks now and I haven't been able to find the right one for the $$$ and what I want.

I am taking the adivce of another mud member and being patient.

Please keep sending any trucks you find. Looks like you know a thing or two about these rigs. Any advice would be appreciated.

Carlos

He's right...be patient. It's easy to wanna jump the gun and get one of these but if you hold out you'll find one that's exactly what you want or close to it for the price you're looking for. It's weird the way it works out. I ended buying one for $3,000 in Southern California which is a tough market to find a decent one in for a good price. Of course I move up to Oregon and a couple months later I see my dad's 71 that he had sold years ago, that I grew up with for sale for a great price. Kinda kick myself because I would have loved to have it.

I don't know tons mechanically about the 40's but I've researched the ads enough to know what they should be going for up and down the west coast. I'll keep an eye out for ya. You're looking around $6k right? What else are you looking for? Lift? Engine conversion? Will you be using it as a daily driver?

Good luck!

Jake

I am in the 5k and less realm, I really want stock but I won't pass up a lift or V8. Looking for DD I can start driving the day I buy it.
