WTB fj25 parts

I need 3 used fj25 rims, fj25 used seats or used fj40 60/40 seats, used or new factory soft top and doors, and a fj25 cut out of the gas filler sheet metal, I am starting the restoration on Vin # 6880L. I have fj40 parts to trade.

the rims and doors are going to be be very hard to locate. The top doesn't exist, there has been a few reproductions. the seats should be the easiest to find but to be a correct restoration they will have to be from a 25, the 40's seats are not the same

I can help you with the fuel filler cutout.

I don't think Sean was laughing in a mean way..................more like that's what we all have been looking for. For me the way to secure enough wheels was to keep buying 25's.

I believe the front seats are the same on the first couple of years of the FJ40s. 64 and later were different. Only mod would be the front right leg will be a little short be the floor is higher because of the vacuum shifter.

The FJ25 had it's own rear jump seats with two high arm rests. 61 had two arm rests like the 25s only lower like later long jump seats with only one arm rest at back.

The rest of parts will be very hard to find. Look at the little orphan annie thread. They plan on making own bows and doors. They are also getting a new canvas top from a guy back east. I'm curious in the quality and cost of time plus time frame to get it.

The biggest problem is bumpers, wheels, seats were upgrading on many FJ25s. The top and doors were replaced with a cheaper option once the original canvas wore out. I'm not even sure how long Toyota supported the soft top parts. Guessing the total number of short wheel base Land Cruisers imported before the 64 model to be in the 1000 or less. Most FJ25 were soft tops but changed with the FJ40. Some not many soft tops around to find parts from.

I can't see any difference in the ribs in the have/ Only have excess to the red back, a 62 production title as a 63 and the grey 1960 FJ25. The last picture is a earlier production 60 which has the high tool box and front engine cradle. From the picture they appear the same. Thought maybe the changes mid year during 1960 may have been these ribs also. If the ones on your 59 are different then seats for a 58 will be even harder to find. Numbers import with 58 and 59 numbers were the lowest.
