I'm looking for a good condition 13BT fly wheel from a 8/1988+ BJ71 (and Dyna/Toyoace) w/13BT

The starter ring (flywheel ring gear) is still avail, part# 13453-56020, so I'm not worried if that is a bit rough.

Lemme know!

You probably know, but 13405-56041, which is for a 14B and 15B should work, 8 bolt and takes a 275 mm clutch. I bought one last year from IMPEX.

There were several threads here on the forum mentioning that may work but nothing I saw definitive. Were you able to mount it to a 13BT and use all the standard 13BT clutch components? I’ve got one coming from Japan so I’ll compare it to the 6-bolt variants I have here when it arrives. Thanks for chiming in!

If anyone has a 13405-58012, I’m still interested!

I put it on my 15B-T which came from a Mega Cruiser, which are all autos. It's the same bolt pattern as the 3BII crank but I've never checked on a 13B. I would be 99% sure that it fits, but the 8 bolt 13B is a strange engine as it is part-way between the old B design and the upgraded 1988 B specs, so you never know. I would guess that flywheel -56040/1 just has a little more mass compared to -58012. Please share your findings when you can!

Is the 13B-T clutch 275 mm like the 14B, or 263 mm like the 3BII?

The 13B-T is 275mmx175mm. So in theory it will work well. They share the same flywheel ring gear ( 13453-56020/13453-56021) and bolts ( 90913-01015 ) so I'm quite optimistic. Thanks!

I think the only material difference could be the thickness of the flywheel from the ring gear to the frictional surface, but my gut feeling would be that it's the same. I can get a thickness measurement of my 3B)) flywheel tonight if that would help.

On my 15B-T/H55F I'm running the 14B-T Dyna flywheel, clutch disc and cover, with the BJ74 clutch release bearing (45013 IIRC). It's assembled but has not yet made its first drive. I was going to use the BJ60/61/70/73/75 release cylinder (60030) but started to have doubts as all the other parts were in line with the BJ71/74. So I bought the BJ71/74 release cylinder (60040) fom you last week, to be sure. I greatly appreciate the tech thread comparing those two a few years back!

I have 3B and 13BT (6-hole) flywheels here, so that's not an issue. I'm hoping the 13405-56040/13405-56041 has the same dimensions.

I can attest there is a variant that is available new. I have one in a box that @AlbertoSD picked up for me. If needed Kurt, I can dig for it.

I'd love to know which part number you're using!
