hi guys, just wanted to check and make sure nobody would be interested in my old truck. My wife was hit head on a week ago and the insurance company is totaling the truck. Nobody was hurt, family ok but both air bags deployed, will need drivers fender and complete front end & windshield. No radiator damage, engine runs great. Salvage price by insurance is $4300

Good:
-'99 UZJ100 with 160k, runs perfect
-new Michelins spring '14
-no rips in leather
-K&N cold air box
-everything works (sunroof, windows, mirrors, cd player, seat heat, etc)
-weathertec floor mats

Bad (besides damage)
-will need CV axles
-interior dirty from kids :(
-i'm 3rd owner
-radio antennae works up/down but radio stations fuzzy

I was going to just let it go because i don't have the time to part it out. Anybody interested i'd be willing to sell to them for the salvage price. i'll post up pics soon.

Pics, sorry if this should have been in classifieds. Not really advertising to sell, just wondered if anybody wants to take advantage.

Glad you and your family are ok! Good thing she was in a tank and not a fiat.

With that said, let the vultures descend.

If you or someone buys this and or parts it, I'd like that good headlight and the grill.

Glad the family is OK. Size does matter.

If you were closer, I'd be all over that grill myself. :D

These trucks are rare/valuable to bone yards and used parts are pricey. If you have the space, time, interest and skill, it could be worth it to part it out yourself. I would imagine just the drivetrain alone would be worth more than $4300, but it would require a lot of (your) labor to pull it all out.

I agree completely.

Tempting, but too much trouble to go get it.......

First dibbs on the steering wheel if you part it out! I may be interested in some other items that are in better condition than some of my 99's parts as well! If you have any other information where this is going if you let go - please post up! Glad everyone made it out safe!

Good to hear that everyone's okay. Interestlng that my daughter has an RX300 like that and I drive a LC. What was the speed of the collision if you don't mind saying? Looks like both cars held up pretty well especially the Cruiser.

Would be tempted if I had the storage space. Did you do the headlight retro-fit?

Can I buy the Weathertech mats?

Sure could use one piece of the body side molding. If you part it out this site will assure nothing is wasted. Just like fire ants and a dead animal.

^^ That's for sure! Don't think any of it would go to waste! I could surely take the dash switch plate (Left of steering wheel) and the ceiling light assembly.
