How does remote start help you though? I'm guessing you have an after market remote start. The OE Toyota remote start turns the engine off as soon as you open the door.
Unless it bypasses that "feature" sensing you're sitting inside the cab?

You are correct, if I use the remote start option - I can't drive the car as it shuts off as soon as I open the door. However, I noticed multiple times, when I am not able to start the car with the ignition button - I start with remote, stop and the ignition button works after that most of the times (I have had an instance or two where that didn't work though)

Art5519, did you ever get your issues sorted out? If so, what was the fix? I have been having issues with my folk's 2008 200 for years now with the intermittent no crank/no start issue. Here is the other thread on it if you're interested:
