:flipoff2: expecting something different?

Actually made it a week ago. Got tired of freezing my ass off while driving.

Somewhere I have a roll up one for a bj60, but this was easier.

Yep, cardboard on the dodge. Bloody lump of iron takes forever to warm up.

it was -44 on site a few days ago. The old goat was on high idle for almost 16 hours straight, damn fuel was almost turning to gel. Everything was frozen and breaking!

There is only one thing good about a Toyota IDI turbo diesel. When it's really cold out, you just put your foot into it and the heater gets hot nearly immediately. Good old inefficient IDI....loosing all that thermal energy right out the rad.
:steer:

Someday maybe I'll have a nice efficient DI engine I can complain about being cold in...haha.

I used to have this rear heater in my 40 and it would melt plastic bags. somehow my dogs would stand on it and not notice

That looks home made, with Velcro straps and everything. Far grander design than my ripped up
tent idea.
Yep. Busted out the sewing machine.

Mainly because I decided to do this right after the recycling truck packed off all my cardboard.

I snagged the factory bj60 roll up one off a parts truck a year or two ago, but it wouldn't fit without a bunch of messing around, and, I can't find the damn thing since I moved. :bang:

I've disconnected the rear heater already (rusty lines under neath) but the 12ht barely gets one heater core hot, let alone two. Better with the diaper on tho.

Starts too fast for my liking. Id rather it turned over a couple times first, but it's pretty much instant.

Needs a hint of throttle to smooth out the idle for 10-20 seconds, which is a delicate process with the touchy throttle on these engines.

I've had a b diesel that was into the low 300's in compression, now that thing put on a show...
