A luxury I have grown used to at home is sleeping with a fan. But when sleeping in the truck in the summer it is a necessity.
Sleeping on the Exped Megamat is comfortable, but I have always had to figure out how to prop my fan up somewhere.

The Claymore V600 fans are my favorite. I often pack one on trips or when visiting friends and set them up on the nightstand.
Anyway they happen to have 1/4 screw hole for mounting... Ram ball compatible.

Making use of my newly installed Kaon Shelf, I installed some ram balls.

These will allow me to hook up a fan or two and even fall asleep watching a movie with my tablet holder.
As I age it's the little things...

Quickpitch ensuite to Gamiviti Rack solution.
The number of people with a LC 200 that will attempt to mount a South African made shower enclosure to their Gamiviti roof rack is probably 2.
This post is for the other guy.

I didn't order my gamiviti rack with this particular accessory in mind so the mounting plates did not line up with the discreet mounting holes of the ensuite.
Spoiler... get a shop to make a metal strip that attaches to the enclosure and the gamiviti receiver brackets.

The enclosure is fantastic but the design for mounting... either in the "box" option or the "bag" option has proven to be a problem for many.
I'm pretty sure @indycole put his up for sale with about 25 different holes in the box from attempting to make it work with different rack systems.

I used several methods over the last few years.. most worked but had downsides.

It did work well with the T slots on a roof rack tent.

The solution was probably in front of me the entire time. Find a good shop that could custom make a piece of metal that both the ensuite and the receiver mounts could attach to. @ZRTactical was the shop that solved this issue for me. He specializes in other things but is a Landcruiser guy. If you have $$ and time, he might be an option for your custom job. I can't say enough about his operation.

This is what Quick Pitch gives you to work with... two holes on metal tabs on the ends of the unit.
You can see how the shop used these to attach a piece of metal to both ends of the shower.

On the back side they attached my Gamiviti receiver mounts.

This is a perfect solution to an issue that I have been trying to solve for a few years.

If you are the other guy mating a quickpitch ensuite with a gamiviti... We are automatically friends, let's get a beer.

I reluctantly bought a couple of the new front runner wolf pack boxes.
One with the "hi" lid.

The old model worked fine, but they stopped selling the hi-lid in the U.S. I wanted to get a bit more storage out of the top box... and this was the only option.

The new boxes are slightly larger, which is nice... but the minimal increase in space is not worth the money in my opinion. The tabs you close the boxes with are significantly more sturdy than the 1 inch wide tabs on the previous wolf pack boxes. I have now accomplished my goal of blocking all rearview visibility.

New tires and thoughts about the 70K miles I did on my KO2 DT

May of 2020 I put new tires on the truck - BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT275/70R18E DT
They have performed well for 70K miles. They have several plugs but the tread is still good and they continue to drive straight.
Every plug is from picking up nails on pavement. They never gave me any issue off-road.
The only con about these tires is the performance in the wet on hard surfaces. I never trusted them at high speed around corners in the rain.
Other than that they outperformed my expectations.

So BF- Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 275/70R18 125S
41 PSI - Whites out for fun. #Hotwheels
I'm anxious to see if the improved siping helps in the wet.
