Wire & Plug Identification

I've noticed this wire and plug, it's right in front of the power steering reservoir.

Confirming if this is noted as "EB1" in the attached diagram. "Engine room main wire and engine wire"

Am I looking at this correctly? If so, it seems to be a bit discolored. Should that be a concern and is this wiring feeding power to the entire engine harness?

I would be concerned. That wire on the bottom looks like it's been overheated, maybe by arcing within the plug. Separate the connector and have a look.

In this case it was due to a bad crimp.

working on it...having trouble locating the correct page in the EWD. found EB2 & EB3, but not EB1.

EB1 is off the load side of the EFI relay.
Yellow/red stripe.
Runs the whole shebang.

That was my recollection, but I didn't want to say anything without having the EWD in hand.

In regards to the concern over discoloration, based on the photo, I don't see a problem with the connector and since it's under the PS reservoir, it's easy to drip all over it (it's supposed to be mounted on a sheetmetal arm, mounted on the intake) and discolor it. It may be worth getting a can of CRC plastic contact safe cleaner and removing the gunk, if you're really that concerned about the condition of the connector and conductor. FWIW, mine looks like yours.

Right on thanks, I'll pick up some cleaner too.

I have the arm but the plug just kinda slides off it, I'll have to put a zip tie on. Not sure why that plug doesn't "clip" onto that bracket.

Hindsight is 20/20 I should have replaced the harness when I did the motor

Purely for general interest, here's the circuit from the overall EWD (I can't find the color coded pages, for some reason):

the following page shows the Y-R conductor on the A, B and D ECU connectors, as well as the diagnostic port. As @jonheld said, the whole shebang.

I think I'm gonna cut and splice a new plug there to get rid of that exposed portion...
