I bought a set of new wiper blades from CCOT for my 88' FJ62 and cant figure out how these go on. I'm trying to connect these new wiper blades to my original fj62 wiper blade arms.

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong & how to put this all together??

they didnt give you the correct adapter...

and why didnt you just buy some new blades at o'reily or something?

if you give me a minute ill snap a pic of the adapter on my 42 out front.

the adapter just slides over the arm and snaps in place then you use the smaller of the 2 adapter you do have clipped onto the wiper blade and your done, takes 30 seconds when you ave everything.

Thanks for this pictures, i'll have to give CCOT a call and get the right adapter. Glad to know its so simple with the right adapter...

Seriously, save some money. The wiper blades from o'rielly are less than the postage on the ones you got from CCOT

I tried getting some at Kragen/o'reily and they said they didnt have any that would fit... so i ordered these for $10 for the pair, not too bad. Anyone have the part number/blade number that would be a direct fit for an FJ62?

just go in there and get the proper length ones, they should have all the adapters in the package, just take a look. if not nearly all the smaller sized ones will have the adapter, just grab em from another package if required.

If the old arm is fine and the blade is bad, just grap a new rubber blade and slip it on. It can be a little bigger or smaller but I get them all the time so I know they have them

i have a fj62 as well and ran into the same issue for my rear wiper arm. my front ones weren't weird like that. the guy at autozone (don't buy your blades from CCOT) had a bucket full of weird attachment pieces to slide onto the arm. it's not that complicated, but some wiper arm packages don't come with that particular attachment.

Can't figure wiper blades myself either. Head gasket- fine, setting up gear backlash- easy, driveway alignment down to 1/32"- done, but wiper blades... forget it, I get my mother to figure that one out.

Old thread, but I just went to AutoZone for the slide on J-hook adapter for the rear wiper of my 1985 FJ60 since the ANCO 31-13 wiper blade did not come with any adapters. They pulled out a box of adapters, handed me the right one, and said no charge.
