I will meet with you guys at the truck stop in Effingham if you plan on making a non stop run to Farmington from there. I estimate it would take the carravan about 3 1/2 hours from there. If there would be a stop planned in between those two places I may join in later as Effingham is 75 miles in the wrong direction for me. There's a rest area around the 29 mile marker on I70 that could work for that as well.

I changed some addresses in the goggle map and it still is not the easiest way to get to the parks. I will check the map program at work to see if gives better details.

Bill, I don't see any reason we couldn't make a planned stop somewhere close to St. Louis that would also save you some time. Might be a good time to take a lunch break, etc.

I'll be coming into St. Louis on I-64, so I'll just try to time it to meet up with you all on the way or at the first stop.

With this being a replacement for GSMTR what do you all think of selling 1/2 pot tickets through out the week and taking the procedes from this and sending it to the Save Tellico fund.

For those of you who don't know what this is, we sell tickets(can be bought for cheep at Wal-mart) usually we sell them $1.00 apiece or 6 for $5.00. All the buyer needs to do is put his/her name and number on the tickets. We draw a winning ticket at the end of the week and the lucky ticket buyer gets half of the money taken in, the rest we can send to Save Tellico.

And yes I will take charge of this if it is agreed to give it a try.

Thanks Ron, that sounds good.
Mark if you are coming over on I64 you will pass within 5 miles of my place. There is a Cracker Barrel and a McDonalds at Illinois 157 and I64 which is next to the I255 loop very easy to get in and out of. Both of them have room for trucks and trailers.

I like the idea of the 50/50 for Tellico.

Washita also allows night wheelin'.

Hmmmmm. Let's see I need to fix my pwr steering, finish my rear disc swap. Install the auto tranny, make new drive shafts, install my rock lights. Clean that brown stain out of the drivers seat from my big stuck @ Badlands & fix my carb issue. Shouldn't be a problem. I still plan on going. I think the 50/50 is a great idea also. Anyone who wants to help me with the few things on my list is welcome.

Bill sounds like a great place for us to hook up on the way. I'll get with you as time draws near.

Tony, after seeing your todo list I feel alittle more hopeful about mine.

looks like ill have a right seat.

I suggest ear plugs

It seems every time I get part of the cruiser apart, something else blows up somewhere. But I'm with Tony on this one, if it is not ready I'll go for the ride along program and the camping.

It really does sound like an old b 27. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to get my hearing back after a drive back from the badlands.

You just have to get used to it. That thing is quiet compared to my old K5.

ahh nothing like some auditory fatigue....

standard 33nnr ear plugs have an effective noise reduction of about 7db. I can add ear muffs as well for an additional 4db.....:D

On your (former) pig you would need laceration resistant gloves and a tetanus shot :flipoff2:

Ok. Looks like, at this point, the rig ain't gonna be did. Not to mention my knee is still sore (not kidding) from 2 weeks ago @ Badlands.

So the big question is, who wants to live with me for 9 days in June? I don't mind rig hoppin, I just ain't missin this event & want to make sure there's a seat or 2 open for the entire trip. So if anyone wants a poor, brain dead, cripple to ride shot gun...I'm your man

It is all good dude. I will have plenty of room in my truck for your stuff as long as I can still sleep in it at night. No one's called my right seat yet.
