All of my experience is on Left Hand Drive vehicles. I wondering if the RHD 60s in Australia are a mirror image of LHD, or what parts are actually the same in both arrangements. Is the motor on the driver or pass side for RHD? WIth LHD, its on the pass side. With the motor unbolted, there is enough movement in the linkage to get a screwdriver in there and pop the rod off the motor. Another option is to remove the entire linkage, pivots and all without disconnecting them. Its not hard. There are two bolts at each pivot - under the plastic cap. Let the pivots fall down into the cowl space and the whole thing should slide out with the motor.

Check out the motor to see if its still working. If it is, I'll bet one or both of the ends on the 2RH rod gave out. Check out this thread:

I've got some repair parts available for the rod ends if you need them.

So does your fix repair this?

Pull black rubber boot off the end of the rod. Hopefully the plastic bearing is still in there. In my picture, the thick plastic part is what snaps onto the brass ball. This piece is needed for the C clip fix to work. The plastic washer shown in the pic is what used to hold the thick piece in place. The C clip is the repair to hold the plastic in place. If the plastic bearing isn't in the boot, try looking around in the cowl space below the wiper rods. I've found broken washers in there before.

If the bearing is long gone, then you need to either find a replacement rod with the bearing or convince 2 other people to order my steel bearing repair and I'll make some of those.

Thanks, everything went fine! I figured the easiest way is to attach the rod first to the motor and move the rod / motor combintion into the cowl space. Then attach the rod to the other rod.

Btw: the motor in australian models is on the co-driver's site.

Just took mine appart last night after leaving the torpedo heater on all day. seems like the same thing happened. The ice made the wipers stick to the windscreen and when I started the wipers the rod poped off the motor arm. I put a little grease in the rubber boot and poped it back on. Works great and I have to fill the propane tank for a 30 second job. D'oh!

I had trouble trying to get the motor rod to connect to the wiper arms while it was installed. I pulled everything out and put it together then slipped it all into place. At one point I removed the motor rod from the motor  . That was stupid. I just randomly put it back on, and when I turned them on, they went backwards, as in they moved toward the front of the truck instead of up the windshield. Took it back apart, figured out the timing of the motor and it works just fine now.
