Windshield wiper motor?

I live in Vegas so it basically never rains, but I actually had to use the wipers today - I was greeted with this lovely noise.



After a while it wouldn't so it anymore but it definitely sounds like something is messed up!

It sounds like its coming from inside the cab vs. under the hood but I could be mistaken - anyone hear this noise before?

Mine does the same thing. Based on the location I think it's the wiper relay - but waiting for a more experienced Mud'r to confirm or clarify.

Bump. Moved up to Portland last month and with the rainy season upon me I should get this resolved ASAP. Any other guesses before I order a crusty old relay from eBay or someplace?

Take relay apart and grease the little gears. That fixed mine.

Was looking for the wiper relay and it sounds like the noise is coming from right here.

Feeling the relays, the one generating the noise (oddly) seems to be the green one for turn signals. How odd is that? Now I have to figure out how to remove it, and try opening it up and see what's making the noise. Why would this relay make a bunch of noise if the wipers are on?

I'm with @Bear Lake Cruiser on this one. My wipers made a similar noise when I first got the truck. Took 10 minutes to fix using the method described by @worldspan here.

So clearly it's the black one. I'll try to remove it and get those fears.
