GEEEZZZZ

Wow sounds like the old bait and switch deal to me. Thanks for checking Guess I'm gonna keep looking for a windshield place. Good thing I got some time.

OK these guys are :ban:

I called Safelite and they said that it would be $269 installed. I then asked them just to get it and I would come pick it up. That they said couldn't happen because it was not a stock item and in order for them to order a non-stock item they would have to install it.

I filled out one of those online quote forms and the Salt Lake office called me to say that they could get it and then have someone drive down from Price to install it for me.

Still bothered that they just could not order it so I could have one on hand....

I'll be getting a new windshield in the piggy next week along with a new headliner. The glass shop apparently found the right windshield, we shall see.

I have a spare vindershield in my parts stash in Portland, O. IIRC no cracks..but 1 or 2 stone chips that could be fixed and a cheesy sticker across the top. I dunno does $100 seem reasonable...heck I throw in both cargo windows two

Where are you getting this work done?

At the local glass shop for the windshield. I'll probably do the head liner when the glass is out.

We had a source for these, for 230 installed, however they failed to tell us that the last 2 we bought were the last 2 they had! The funny thing is they had these in a warehouse since 93!:crybaby:

You cover a lot of ground man.

Does local mean BC? South America? The States?

Inquiring minds want to know!

It'll be in Cranbrook, B.C., Canada. They told me that the windshield is in their shop and they are just waiting for me to bring the truck around which will happen next week when we get back there.
