I'm going to replace the motors in my regulators. I might just replace the regulator/motor assembly. It's a 96, and when I get in there I may find the rubber filler where the window sits in the bracket needs to be replaced. But I don't see any way that the window is attached to the bracket (the bracket that will attach to the regulator). Does the window just slip into the bracket and friction holds it in? Has anyone replaced these ?

The rubber filler is what creates the friction to hold the glass to the regulator's channel. It has a specific shape and when everything is new, it can take a bit of force to get everything in place.
