Re wistle, try driving with your driver's side window down. Mine has a wistle above 50 that comes from the pivot between the mirror housing and the part that attaches to the body. I can place a finger in front of that pivot while at speed and it stops. Folding in the mirror slightly also stops it.

My truck was repainted at some point, this could be a related artifact.

My '99 LX had the same whistle from DS mirror. It was friggin' annoying.

BTW for my wind noise referenced earlier in the thread, stuffing the weather stripping with foam did nothing other than to cause a rip in the stripping. Oh well...

I fought this issue for MONTHS- the wind noise was unbearable and more frustrating than I can explain. I had a new windshield installed (PGW glass, seems legit for aftermarket) and still had noise. Factory A-pillar moldings reused, tech was very familiar with how this job is done. I still had wind noise after reinstallation, and started taping things up as well. Mine was the A-pillar trim/moldings. I used a very small bead of RTV silicone to eliminate the small gap and the wind noise is gone. Figured this was cheaper than spending $180 at partsouq for moldings and looks factory. Good luck!

Noticed today that mine (04 lc) doesn’t whistle in the rain—only when dry. Need to replace safelite screws with plastic-capped rivets—will see if that and new moulding covers help—if not will start taping things up to determine source—thanks for all the info, all.
