will hard top and rear lift gate fit my Rig?

I found a hard top and doors from a 71 will this fit my 75? I understand that the doors will not fit with the existing latch, but will the top, sides and rear lift gate match up?

71 had the thicker tub, so I would say it probably wouldn't work, but I haven't spent enough time around the later model 40s to know for sure.

Going the opposite way -- I have a 70 fj40 and a 76 hardtop fit on it. If that helps. I transfered the rear tailgate and the rear lift hatch to the 77 hardtop (had to drill some holes and mounts). I kept the original 70 hard doors for it.

Our 40 is 73 cowl forward an 78 from there back. Have had the 73 hardtop on. Have had both the 78 & 73 front doors on. And bestop soft doors. It has had the bestop softop on for about 3 years staight now. I used to put hard top on for winter but really haven't needed the 40 much for daily driver. The tail gate is drop down style made from aluminum tread plate.
Son Derrick is runnin 76 doors on a 71 fj40.
Theres' a little work to be done but it'll work.

Thanks for your thoughts. I went ahead and bought everything and am very happy. Ends up that the doors on my June 75 made rig are off of a 74, so someone already did the conversion. I have not tried the top, but I am not very concerned now. Thanks for your help. The rig was from Phoenix, so all the parts were almost rust free -- just some surface rust. I am smiling from ear to ear!
