Tonight's progress was trimming about 3 inches off of the brush bars so that they would fit properly. Now I just need to drill the bolt holes and mount them.

A few shots from putting the lift, back bumper and brush guards on this weekend. The weeks of spraying every thing with PB blaster payed off. No bolts where broken during the process!

really? are you going to leave us hanging like that with the stock worn out front springs and a front ARB. Then OME rear springs and no rear bumper? Serious stink bug!

The front half of the lift went on with out any issues. I still need to put the steering stabilizer on the truck. But I need to get a puller or fork first. I did get very lucky on getting the 80 out of the guarge. I did not think about the clearance when we pulled it in to do the lift!

Lets see a picture of how it sits with the lift in place. By the way, how has nobody commented on the wife, very cool that she is wrenching on it herself! And she is super cute to boot, looks like you got a good one. Hope that is respectful enough and not taken the wrong way.
PS i think there is no real right or wrong way to do the front springs. But i see you removed "the rod" from the pass side of the axle. Glad it worked for you. I have never tried that. I have always had to remove the four bolts holding up the sway bars. They are really easy to get in and out and usually give me enough slack. If you have to do it again see if that helps.

Ran into a few issues with he back bumper. ARB sent two left side, side plates and I was unable to get the tire carrier swing out in place. Call ARB up and they sent the correct parts out next day!

Last Friday I went to install the steering stabilizer and figured it would be a 20-30 min job. Well that turned out to be an 1 1/2 hr slugfest!!! But I got installed just in time for a weekend trip with a lot of highway and dirt roads to give the new setup a proper shakedown. Every thing worked out great...

However when I trimmed the exaust it pointed at the back mud flap and melted it and part of the fender flair. Had to stop at an auto parts store and get an ugly turndown pipe so it would not do any more damage during the trip. I was surprised that it melted anything with the exaust tip being over a foot away from anything.

If that mud flap is porked, I have one that you can have if you pay shipping. Shoot me a PM if interested and I'll get you some pics and we can work out the details.

Finally got around to installing the tire swing out! That spare wheel looks like crap! Might be time to start looking for new set of wheels!

Dropped her off to the auto body shop to under go some surgery...
This is in the back right wheel well where the seatbelt bolts down. To me it almost looks like it rusted from the inside out. However there are no additional areas of rust. I almost think it could have been from something put sprayed on the carpet to protect it. Has any one ever seen something like this on there 80?

My buddy at the auto body shop sent me a few pics form the cab of the rust that was uncovered. Good thing we caught it when we did!

This ARB tire swing out is a pain in the ass!!! We have had to adjust it several times since the original install. This last time was my fault. I was backing around a tree at a snails pace at gently tapped the tree. git out to look and there was no evidence that the bump even happened. Not even a smudge in the dust! After opening the back and closing the swing out it would not latch. Spent a while fiddling with it and just could not get it to catch.

After a closer look I noticed the the swing out was ever so slightly slightly tweaked!!!! Grrr, got it to latch after correcting the angle but dang. No wAy this thing would take a real hit off road!

So if you are on the fence about the ARB rear bumper, don't waist your cash. There are better options out there for your cash...

But on a good note my wife had a blast playing with it on a friends land a few weeks back.
