I thought it might had been an ARB. Never heard of the "Howling Moon" Tents before. I'll check them out. I'll look at EA Family sized tent as well. Do you think there will still be room for 4 fuel cans on my rack?

Hi Boerboel313

That is a Howling Moon 4 man rooftop tent. I don't know where it is made, but I bought it locally in Namibia. I had one exactly like that on my Hi Lux. Weighs a ton ( 90 kg ),very nice with the wife and two kids. THe bottom part is a zip on and the the part on the rear is an extra - not part of the tent as I know it.

Cheers

thanks for all the info. I'll see if I can find it for sale. I looked at the HM website but no prices. I'll just have to call or email.

Thanks all.

davegonz, I have looked at them and thus far I can buy the whole shooting match from them for around $2300. That encludes thier, roof rack, LG RTT, ladder, awning, 3Xlight brackets, 2X 2 jerry can holders, and the changing vestibule (sp).

You can't beat that anywhere. and it will only take 6-8 days to go from FLA - SOCAL

Speak to fernando......

I had a look at them at a display a few months back. Top quality, price is about $2500 AUD .Made in South Africa

Have yet to pull the trigger onthe RTT. Still waiting for the INTI rack I ordered from JC in Fla.

I picked up a copy of Austrailian 5WD Action a couple months ago at Barnes & Noble. The Auissies have some neat stuff we don't. There are some absolutely huge tent-trailers tehy sell there. Those things are a lot more popular there.

If you can find a copy of the mag, its worth it to check out.

Errr.... OP: did you read the description of the youtube video? :)

The biggest ones I've seen are one-offs from a Canadian company called Cartop Retreats. It has two 53" x 84" beds.
