Who has a Lexus 2010-13 GX with Dynamic cruise and a MetalTech 4x4 bumper.

Does any one have a Metal Tech 4x4 bumper on there GX with Dynamic Cruise? I’m really worried about the grill guard being in front of the radar unit. Metal Tech assures me it won’t affect it but I have never seen one of their Bumpers on a unit with a radar equipped grill. Please let me know if you have a 2010-2013 GX with both. Thanks

Also, doesn't the dynamic cruise run off the top of the windshield?

Those rare packages were available on even the earlier 10-13 models.... and simply called Driver Support Package '14-'19. You could get variations of options on 10-13 models.

OP: If your sensor is being blocked by the bumper in anyway you will likely get error messages and system will deactivate. The radar/PCS sensor cannot be obstructed without a malfunction state. Which MT bumper are you looking at? IMO: That one with the bar that rises up toward the grille is sure to cause an error.

I’ll post a pic. Someone ordered this 13 premium with this feature and the lane departure. They deleted the ML sound and video equipment.

This type of cruise has its pros and cons of course.

The MetalTech Talon bumper will most certainly interfere with that. Just look at the position of that bar in relation to the L badge.

Considering all '20+ have this sensor now MT will need to further accommodate the need for compatible bumper versions for this tech. As hard as it can be to retrofit...often harder to defeat without lots of errors.

I have FSM but it seems it displaces an existing ECU and not real life physical pictures of ECU. Location below the right passenger vent. I picked up a "cheap used" of this "expensive" ECU.

Yes I plan on putting the MTS system on my car. I was very surprised it was not on it already. I will get you my phone number when I do it so I can get you the pics you need. This GX is a odd bird I guess. I’m going to have to figure out where what they put in place of the ML system in the rear. Do you have a pic of what I am looking for ? Thanks.

MTS was available on fully loaded Canadian models but left out of the 50 state US market vehicles (except for '20+ Luxury w/off-road package)

I am trying to troubleshoot my Check Sonar System error I am getting on my 2011 GX460. Despite the error, I can still activate and deactivate as well as change the 3 levels of distance ahead on my dynamic cruise control. I do have a crack in the emblem from road debris and I have been digging on all the forums and your input here about the emblem being part of the sensor really spoke out to me.
Do you know any more info on this? Does the emblem somewhat serve as a barrier/shield for sensor to work correctly? I am trying to see if cracked emblem can cause an error but I cannot seem to find any answers on the forum. Just trying to find out the most I can here and get all the help I can. Thanks in advance!!
