well the second row on a 100 CAN be taken out easily, its a total of 8 bolts for both seats....

:confused::confused::confused:

And exactly WHY would you need to remove them....To install a waterbed or something like that ?? If you are going to go by that logic, just about everything IS removable, one way or the other ! :rolleyes:

The point about the f:censor:up with the 3rd rows is that why didn't Toy engineer them to be easily removed like in the 80 and 100 series..I cannot think of one other suv with 3rd row seats that aren't either removable or in the case of an IRS, fold flat. The LC is on the smallish side of "full "sized suv's and the seats, even when folded on their sides do eat up precious cargo space... I doubt I would not buy a 200 just because of this, it just seem odd ( to me) that they went in that direction..

:cheers:

I thought I heard someone mention that the reason they made them permanent (if you can call them that) is because they rattled alot etc when off road.

At least that is what I thought I read somewhere.

thats dumb, i hate toyota giving away to suburban soccer moms! Make the 3rd row removable.

well if enough of you complain, then they will in 2009. Otherwise the Electronics will stay, and soccer moms and 50-70 year old men will rejoice. " see bob, my seats go into place with the touch of a button, Wow jim, thats really spiffy, I should get one too.( fade to country club...)"

you did see that they have been doing the marketing based on the affluent individuals like DTT who will take a 70-90K vehicle out in the middle of BFE.(go DTT) They have been showing them in OZ, Parks in cananada, and posh country clubs inthe US. Driving home the message, Be cooler than your Loser ass Neighbor in the Denali, and buy a SUV, that can Actual go to denali. Everyone at the Club with think you are Rugged driving up in your Tods Loafers and The Almighty 200 Series SUV...
and we will smite them and say hey look at DTT, that is what it is for!

Thanks for that....but I also own a Yukon Denali XL .... :lol:

I have been wanting to go out but it has been raining like crazy here in So Cal and I am not worried about the LC in the wet sand...I am worried about the tires they gave me in the LC.

They are, IMHO, not good enough AT ALL for deep wet sand.

Plus my wife is due in 7 days....I cannot go to far from home :rolleyes:

toyota failed on stock tires with the addition of 18" wheels in 2003...since then OEM tires have brought the suck bigger then a $2 whore in vegas.
