Am I too assume you are sick of hearing from me? :grinpimp:

You should be able to mod that 200 out with a second mortgage.... Like the SEMA truck that is :D

no not yet ;p just curious if you were the only one since you seem to be the only one posting about it. How many 200s have sold so far?

I think 143 have been sold....:grinpimp:

Actually I have no idea :D

I don't even know how we would find out.

I have talked to Toyota, I am the only one getting one... lol

That 200 is a horrendous amt. of money.... I went with the FJC for several reasons. First reason, nostalgia. Second, the price was very good for what you get. I looked at the 100 series and thought it was too expensive as a package. For the cost of a 100 series I could get a Range Rover Sport, which I like very much. I always liked the 80 series, but I didn't have the time to LOOK for one that was in excellent condition etc. I need my daily driver to be as reliable as possible, and 500 miles each way to work I needed something new, or at the very least very well maintained. So I ended up buying the FJC and have been very happy with it.

Now, money aside, I think the 200 has a lot going for it. It looks very well made, it has a lot of nice creature comforts, and I like the 'crawl' feature. However for the price, the Range Rover is sitting right over there begging to be driven as well.

The price factor pretty much is a deal killer as far as I am concerned. $73,000 is just too much money for a Toyota. I don't exactly know where the cut-off price for a Toyota is, i guess $55-$60K or wherever the 100 peaked at. Iguess. When you start paying upwards of $73K + there are certain "perks" associated with premium brands that a lowly Toyota simply cannot fullfill. I know I am splitting hairs here but I could stomach paying that kind of money for a Lexus, RR, GWagen, etc. It has been stated on other threads elsewhere but to think you will be driving that $$$$ LC into the service drive and to be treated the same as someone in a Tercel or Corolla, I don't think so !! Is it just me, or do others feel the same way about this as I ??

...why we got an LX for about the same price as the LC back in 2000. Figured why not get the better service/warranty for the same price.

I have to definitely AGREE on this. Even paying that $60K at a Toyota dealership, you are not treated any better than someone who bought a Camry. At Rover, you get treated like a diplomat each, and EVERY time you walk through the door. The last time I went to Rover to purchase a coffee cup, when I walked through the door, a man standing there I never met before said, "Hello, Mr. ****, I believe your salesman is busy, but can I offer you a coke or anything else while you wait?" The guy knew MY NAME, and I had never met him before. I later found out he was the new Manager, and he had studied all the customers files, and especially repeat customers like myself who had bought more than one Rover from that dealership. When I drive my Range Rover, or my Land Rover DII, I feel like I am riding in a class act 4wd vehicle. As well, I know I can drive it just about anywhere. Certainly anywhere a Land Cruiser can go.

I have to say having seen the LX and LC up close; the attention to details really make a difference on the LX this time around! There used to be a price gap between the two of 10-15K which made the decision easy as to which one to buy. Before the differences were not that noticable with the exception of the body exterior clading better stereo and real wood. Now it seems Toyota really skimped on the materials that went into the LC; you have to take a look for yourself. Matter of fact I took a look at the new Seqoia 08 and was suprised at the similarities of the interior; actually the interior looked better! this coming from a LC driver of 10 years...
