Fzj80(not locked) or Fj100(rear locked). Will be used for now as a dd and camping rig. Assuming mileage, maintenance, and condition are all comparable. Which one to go with when considering reliability, and off road ability (again not a tripple locked 80).

Thats a powder keg of a question and for many an emotional one. A DD has so many variables from "how many miles, highway, what are you used to driving and expect, etc.....So here is a good article (with many pages of emotion and opinion afterwards) that could help you. The 100 rear locked was 99 and 98 and they had a weaker front diff. Read the Slees 100 and the 80 information too. With that said, I love my 80 and dont have plans to get rid of it.

Get the 100, so you can get where you are going.....Daily.

That a tall order. DD,Camping, Off road ability, Really hard to get one vehicle that excel in all these areas. both should be reliable
