Where to Eat!

Anyone familiar with these folks? Any relation to the Moe's Southwest Grill who had several locations in Jackson a few years back?

No relation to the southwest version. Moe's BBQ was started by a few Bama guys while living in CO who wanted a Bama style bbq place out there. They opened one out there, then one in Orange Beach, then a few in Bham. Now, they are starting to franchise them out. Everything is scratch made and pretty good stuff. I do business with the guys here and have them cater a few events every year.
Austin recommendations to eat?
I am heading to Austin Thursday night for the weekend. Looking for a couple of MUST eat places to try while I am there.
I will get in too late Thursday for dinner. Friday I will have lunch and dinner. Saturday for lunch and Sunday for lunch. I doubt I will be up in time for any proper breakfast spots....YEP it's gonna be one of those weekends! Hopefully the Rebs will make a respectable showing!
Been told that I need to make it to either Franklins or John Mueller's for bbq brisket. Any other places?
EDIT: Forgot to mention this is my first trip to Austin so if there is anything I should see or do, I would appreciate those recommendations as well.

Breakfast--Magnolia Café, Kerby Lane Café, Austin Java, The Omelettry. Magnolia and Kerby are open 24/7.
BBQ--Franklins is great but pricey and hard to get in, usually a 2 hour wait unless you're there first. Muellers is equally popular but easier to get into. Ironworks downtown is good. Stubbs and County Line are overrated. My pick would be Stiles Switch, off the beaten path but outstanding Q. In fact I've been there twice this week.

Burgers--Hopdoddy's on South Congress, or Billy's on Burnet, which is kind of a hole in the wall, but also the home base of the legendary Weird Austin Land Cruiser Society. I recommend a Cobra burger, or Ends burger. And a pint. Or two. 36 craft beers on tap.

You've gotta have Tex-Mex. Any of these--Maudie's Café, Trudy's, El Arroyo, or Chuy's. All local, all have several locations. There's a Trudy's, the original, just off Guadalupe near the university.
Home style cooking--Threadgills, or Hoovers. Threadgills on Lamar is an iconic joint where Janis Joplin used to sing, back in the day. Excellent southern chow.
I hate sushi, but if that's your thing, we supposedly have two of the best sushi restaurants in the south. Uchiko, and Uchi. No personal experience, but I hear they're extremely pricey.
Avoid 6th Street, check out the Bob Bullock Museum (walking distance from the stadium), walk around the UT campus, tour the Capital, South Congress is interesting, downtown warehouse district is packed with hipster restaurants and music venues, and that's all that comes to mind. You can google all these restaurants and view their menus. If I was in town, I'd give you a guided tour, but I'll be at the Texas A&M-Bama game. Let me know if you have questions. I'll be around all day.

Thanks for all of these suggestions. I am going to print them out and take them with me. We are staying at the Sheraton Austin at the Capitol. I also appreciate the offer on the guided tour.
Best of luck to you guys against Bama. That is a tall order....they will be looking for redemption just like the Rebels are against Texas.
I'll second Maudie's for good Tex Mex. no experience with the others, but I trust Lee won't lead you to a bad place.
Only additions I have would be Ranch 616. It's got good atmosphere and good food.
If you do make breakfast, there is a food trailer on S 1st call Gordough's that makes some seriously good gourmet donuts. Check their website. They are crack.

Rebels looked strong on Saturday. Nice win. Aggies weren't as fortunate, but at least it wasn't a complete massacre.
BTW, I met William Gates and his Dad on Sunday morning. They got to see their old Mississippi 40 again. Sorry we didn't take pics of the occasion, but it was emotional and I don't think William would have wanted anyone to see him crying.

Oxford - MeEwens up there is excellent We went to a Memphis wedding a couple of months ago and blew off the reception to stop there for dinner on the way home. Sea bass, steak & eggs, scallops - I grew up at MSU but have to admit there's nothing like it in Starkville.
