Location was good, it's the sub-par, overpriced food that did them in. You can get a Walkers blue plate for the same price as a crappy BLT from Mimi's.

Slim Goodies has the best breakfast in town- great hangover grub. Sweet potato pancakes kill me.

I don't. If I want steak, I go to shapleys or elys.. tuna is my go to at Ruth's.

I used to feel that way about the Quarter when I was living in New Orleans. Too cool to be around all the above.

To clarify, that joint has excellent burgers and it's fine for lunch if you're already downtown, or work downtown. It also happens to be a block from a huge homeless shelter and you have to fight your way through a sea of bums and panhandlers to even get there. At night it's just flat dangerous--highest concentration of muggings in our fair city. Some of 6th street is still cool, but not where that joint is located.
