Racked out 50 in :30 them got another 20 in with big butt-in-the-air pauses. Quit with :20 left in 2 minute window at 70. That is way harder than it sounds.

This is a warno as I haven't gone yet, but one of my LTs said there is a new ice cream shop, hand made mind you, by McAllisters at the main Grenada exit. I will recon this evening and report back.

At Airborne school they made us do them with our hands on a 2x4, in Ranger school it is quality not necessarily quantity, in Air assault school IN ONE DAY my buddy counted each push up we did from 0500-2300 and it was 747 (ill never forget it because of the plane nomenclature) but that is about 42 push ups an hour...all day....while climbing ropes, rapelling, etc.
That would probably kill me now. where's my spoon? I NEED ICE CREAM, NOLAN NEEDS ICE CREAM!!!

Snackbar is awesome (James Beard nominated chef) and so is City Grocery (shrimp and grits are tasty) but both can be pricey.
Ajax is always good southern food. The meatloaf is my favorite.
Proud Larry's is another good local place with burgers and good fries.
I've heard Big Bad Breakfast is also great but haven't been.
I hit up Yelp because I got hungry, and it looked like Rebel Barn was the ticket. Man... what a great choice! I got the tamales, and they were dynamite. Then followed it up with two BBQ taquitos and smoked bologna. For the grand finale, out came a tray of pulled chicken, pulled pork, BBQ beans (infused with pulled pork), and white potato salad. Oh... and of course, a piece of thick white bread. Everything was good.
The real kicker was the owner. From the moment I walked in, he didn't hesitate to make me feel at home. True to my previous post, I wore a dri-fit Nike shirt I just got from a friend that has "RUN" spelled out inside the outline of the State of Montana. Owner was quick to connect with that and his friend who biked from Bozeman to Memphis (eff that noise...).
Anyway, I paid my tab, thanked him, and rolled out. I look over, and there is a 60-series off to the side of the parking lot. Could it be that the owner drives a Cruizah?! Sho' 'nough... FJ60 completely stock aside from some brand-spanking-new BFG AT KO2s. Beautiful. I walked back in and proceeded to pick up the convo where we left off.
So... It turns out that @OzarkMtnCruiser is the proprietor of Rebel Barn, and he has an awesome operation. Nothing but good, quality barbecue. If you're ever in Oxford, you've got to check it out. It's maybe 10 seconds from one of the entrances to Ole Miss (which I drove through... Did ya'll know Ole Miss is building a Racial Reconciliation center? You're welcome...)
But seriously... Check out Rebel Barn. What a small world.

I sho' did it last night. Walked from the Holiday Inn Express on up to Pizza Den and got the stromboli as @Bomar suggested you had suggested. I think my expectations were too high, seeing as how it was blessed by Senor Grogan. Was good, but I didn't have the same love for it that you did almost 30 years ago and kept you coming back for more. Yeah, I saw your review on Yelp...

Pains my Bulldog heritage a bit to say it - but McEwenns on the square in Oxford is better than anything we have to offer in Starkville - at least in that type of establishment; I enjoy Tyler's at Moo-U, but McEwenns is just flat out better. Sea Bass and Steak and Egg Benedict, yum! We're holding rein w/ Stombolis and Little Dooey though in more casual chow.
