I'm not sure, but there are so many whales over there, in those bays, for mating and giving birth, so I guess now and then they just die of natural causes, because they have no natural enemies over there. The orcas come a few months later. And yes, it's sad, but every day you see so many living, jumping, and playing whales, that the sadness doesn't linger. Impossible!

Quick trip through Oregon to pick up some toys for the LC as well as scout my upcoming Oregon exploration trip. Found some snow and some BLM land to give my friend his first taste of the 80's capability. That's Mt. McLoughlin behind the water from Winema National Forest. Had lunch at Shasta Lake to see the ~200' of exposed land from the drop in water level. Was kind of cool driving the truck through the old lake bed. And Mt. Shasta as regal as ever from both I-5 and Highway 97.

Spent the day at Hollister SVRA
Pretty early on we realized a black diamond climb was actually triple black...not knowing how deep this was we checked around the bend to see if it was worth it...we ended up backing down
I went with a few guys from work: This rig is not a land cruiser and is made by a german company called "Mercedes"
Hands down the nicest Ute I've ever seen let alone seen on the trail. This truck is an animal.

Back in October I drug my older brother out on his birthday for a Niagara Rim trail run with a group from ExPo. The weather was great aesthetically but pretty poor for camping. I woke up soaked at like 3am...Otherwise we had a blast.
The next morning we woke up to fantastic views.
The earth was definitely soaked and breakfast took for ever to cook. The picnic table is standing in a puddle at least 2 inches deep.
Eventually we fed, aired down, and into the mist we went.
VMAN organized the ride and led the way

That paint color on your rig is perfect. I can't see any better color for a TLC.

Thanks man! It's in pretty rough shape though. Lots of clear missing from the hood and other areas. Due for a little repaint.
