2019 LC - I just noticed a bolt coming out of both rear wheel wells. I have attached a picture. I don’t remember seeing that bolt before. Can somebody provide any feedback if that is normal or if they have the same bolt on their vehicles.
I had a flat repaired yestrday and they lifted with a jack the rear of the LC...not sure if that is relevant.

its there on mine (2010 LX570)

No drawers. Probably 3rd row as you mentioned.
It’s funny that I had never noticed them before and I always do my own detail car wash.

Thank you guys for the quick responses.

That is the lower seatbelt anchor bolt for the second row. Every 200 in the US has it poking through like that from the factory.. it just looks odd because toyota builds the chassis with a rubber plug glued on the outside to prevent the undercoating and paint fouling the threads of a critical nut.. then runs the bolt in and it pushes the rubber cover back. You can peel off the remaining rubber flap if you are as OCD as I am.

seems very un-Toyota and after-thought-ish to be coming through the undercoating.

I hadn't yet noticed it yet, but now i'll see it every time ;) I think I'll pop some fluid film on it!

It definety looks odd, like it does not belong.

Can anyone think of a reason NOT to zip that bolt shorter with a cutting disk (assuming its cut cleanly shortened/resealed for possible removal/re-install at some point)???

ROW probably does have it because US safety regs are so effective and often such a large part of the market.

But this is pure speculation on my part.

Edit: those safety regs might even require certain bolt threads. IIRC the third row upper seatbelt anchor in an 80 is a US thread, not metric. Means you can easily run in an eye bolt originally intended for racing harnesses as one end of a hammock system. Not that this is directly relevant.. but backs up the idea that safety regs might require certain length too.

Might also be that toyota wanted the non-threaded end to help avoid any cross-threading on assembly

Sprayed my bolts with black Flex Seal. Matched perfectly with undercoating.

Did the same with the two low hanging body mount bolts behind the front wheels, made them just slightly longer than the nut. (The rest of the body mount bolts are essentially flush with the frame). The ones in front are almost an inch longer than they need to be.

These bolts might make minor contact with the tire when tucked, but it doesn't seem to be an issue because of the relatively short distance hanging out.
