Hey everyone,

im a kid who decided to wander out of the FJ60 to ask a kind of dumb question, so here it goes: i want to put a 34x9.50x15 superswamper TSL on a stock FJ40 steel rim kind of like this one, can it be done? i think its a 15x5.5 wheel

You can, but your tire will have a balloon effect I have 35 14.50s on 15x8 on my mini it looks a little silly but its just a wheeler. If your not doing any crazy off-roading I cant see you having to much of a problem. I would call down to your local tire shop and see what they say. Good Luck

Yes it can. I have exactly that set-up on my FJ40. I'll try and take a picture and post it if you're interested.

Here are some pictrues for everyone else. I can email Hi res shots to anyone interested.

^^^^^^^^ Jeebus..........how far past the rim do your hubs stick out? That wouldn't work for me at all.

Do a search. There are eleven billion threads already about what will fit on stock rims.

I'm pretty sure that 9.50s will not balloon on a 5.5" wheel. I think a general consensus is that a 9.5" wide tire is ideal for the stock FJ-40 wheel.
