You might drill a hole in e piece of steel and tack weld a nut on the other side of the hole.

The piece of steel is supposed to be almost the same size as the hole in the frame to be fairly thick and substantial. If you weld a nut, it won't be able to fit through the hole in the frame.

I have zero ability to weld, sadly

I’d likely just try to recreate what Ironman, ARB, and others have done with what piece of metal and just tap/thread it. But I’m trying to avoid that effort if only someone would sell me those bits :)

Please let me know if you find someone that'll sell these pieces. So far I've tried with the ARB vendors without success. I'm getting ready to recreate the ARB ones by 3D printing a plastic set and having a metal fabricator make them.

Me too. When I got some welding work done on my trailer, I took it to a local trailer shop…very inexpensive.

Im sure there’s a piece of metal bracketry on Amazon somewhere that meets the criteria…for some other application.

If you do, let me know how much they want and if it's not insane I might ask if you'd have them make an additional set. Happy to send $ for it.

By the way, the included bolts for these are JIS M12x1.25x55mm

A 17mm socket fits the Bolt head.

Belmetric PN: BF12X1.25X55PCLZ

Recommend 92ft-lbs dry bolt torque

😀
UPS keeps changing my delivery date 😤

installEd, they seems like an awesome solution for the Ironman bumper.

That is a great solution. I messaged you for more details on where to buy and if it came with bolts. Again, thanks for posting this.
I believe you're referring to the recovery points, Check out ee-offroading.com for more details.

Saw yours on the LC of Houston IG page. I am guessing you're no longer in Phoenix?

BTW, I ran the Ironman bumper on our last GX460 and I was very pleased with it, it's very very close to the quality of the ARB's I've had in the past.

Nice! Well a belated welcome to Texas lol. Vlad over at LCH has treated me well, hopefully you had a similar experience with him as well.

How much did your MPG decrease when you installed your Ironman bumpers??
With 33s on RW wheels, bud sliders, IM 2" lift, bud full underbelly skids and the IM Bullbar I average 14.9 MPG mixed, and I have a Yakima roof box on half the time. With everything I lost about two-ish mpg.

Overall I am very happy with the minimal loss of mileage. YMMV (literally).

Has anyone had a vendor do the install for the iron man, specifically in the SoCal area?

Not in SoCal but Stellar Built would be a great shop to hit up.
