I bought my fj used a couple of year back and I'm trying to figure out what lift it is.

The components are OME

The front:
Driver side has N 73L shock,
unknown spring. I thought it said 850 or 851 The diameter of the the coil is about .686 thousandths
I'm counting 10 wraps. maybe 9.9 ( I was looking at the chart and see the 2850j looks to be the closest.

Passenger side
N73L shock
unknown spring but it does have the "A" sticker on it

I measured from the bottom of the RIM to the bottom of the center fender and was 31"

The rear

Driver side
N71E shock
864 B spring

Passenger side
shock looks like N45E ? This doesnt make sense
864 A spring

When measured from bottom of rim to middle of quarter fender it was 33.25"

I will say that I found someone had the 864B spring on the passenger side, from what I read it was supposed to be on the driver side due to the axle being longer.

Also forgot when I had my alignment recently it was noted that I had 4 deg of caster in the front. Is that within spec? I had those drop brackets and oem bushings.

Thanks for your input.

Your looking good there...
850J with L shocks up front
864 super heavy rears with shorter normal shocks.
3°caster is in spec... 4° is perfect.

Center of hub to bottom of flare is a good standard. It's generally about 20" so if you add 8" for half of a 16" wheel you have a 3" lift in front & 5" in rear. STINKBUG!

Thanks for all the great info!!

I'm still confused why there are different shocks on the rear. I was also thinking of trying to level it out by adding spacers to the front.

Those are old shock numbers... you might just buy some new ones.
How does it ride?
Does it sit good side to side?

Rides unloaded pretty stiff but overall well.

Loaded it much softer.
